Enjoy with your feet in the sand
Since 2012, Marleen and Mathijs have been running Strandtent De Pit together.
Take it all in from the rocking sofa and sprint towards the sea for a refreshing swim.
Dream away to reggae or other cheerful tunes that sound through the speakers.
The beach bar brings a cozy casual, homey atmosphere to the beach.
Delicious pizzas
The smell of the wood oven meets you as you walk through the dunes.
Strandtent De Pit is known for its delicious pizzas from the wood oven with a wafer-thin base.
There are also well-filled platters of meat or fish on the menu.
Attention to nature & environment
Reuse, do-it-yourself and attention to nature & the environment are hallmarks of the Pit.
Not surprisingly, the current restaurant was created from two 40ft completely transformed containers.
The terrace is filled with furniture that was carefully brought in from the thrift store.
Everything together forms a cozy and, above all, homey atmosphere.
The Pit is suitable for literally anyone who likes sand between their toes, combined with a nice snack and drink in the sun.
Walk toward the horizon, through dunes to the sea, shoes off and then turn right at the beach entrance of Vlugtenburg ‘s-Gravenzande.

Would you like to eat with a large group?
Then an advance reservation is recommended, especially on summer days.
